Refund Point Operators are the first line of defence when it comes to detecting fraud and protecting our container deposit scheme.
In fact, the Refund Point Operator Agreement states “The Operator must take all reasonable steps to minimise and prevent fraud in connection with the Scheme” (Clause 12(b)(ii)).
One of the easiest ways to report suspicious or fraudulent activity is to contact the confidential speak up service, Whispli. Scan the QR code or visit the Whispli website.
Alternatively, you can call the Whispli hotline on +61 8 7625 2946.
You can also report fraud directly to WARRRL’s Scheme Integrity team: [email protected]
To lodge a report online, the informant must create a safe inbox. Don’t worry, this is completely confidential and no personal information is required. When signed in to Whispli, the individual can create a report providing as much information about the suspicious or fraudulent activity as possible, including the location and any other persons that may be involved. If the informant has evidence to support the information, such as documents, photos, or files, this can also be uploaded into the report.
Whispli offers the informant the ability to provide their name and contact details if they wish to receive updates on the information provided. However, this is not necessary, and the informant can remain completely anonymous.
For more information you can find the Speak Up policy HERE.
